This position is responsible for the execution of select marketing programs in North America, specifically the U.S. and Canada’s Consumer and Health Professional public relations programs and digital communication. This includes directing web content and social media; supervision of contracted public relations and advertising agencies; reporting on program results; providing input on the development of communications strategies, messages, and annual tactical plans; and performing related duties as required.
About the Almond Board

This new position will develop and manage the Almond Board of California’s (ABC) policies and programs that will continually improve irrigation and water use efficiency by California almond growers. The work produced by this position will have a profound impact on the agricultural performance of almond growers and will contribute importantly to the sustainability of the California Almond Industry. This is a high profile position within the ABC’s agricultural affairs management as it deals with the most important crop input required by almond growers. It is anticipated that water availability and quality will become even larger issues in the future than they are today, and this position will proactively lead the industry in the adoption of innovative solutions to maximize water use efficiency. By example, a principal focus of this position is accelerating grower adoption of irrigation standards along the ABC’s Almond Irrigation and Improvement Continuum (AIIC).
