New Drought Management Publication

Two of the almond industry’s most relied-upon experts on managing drought have produced a new publication that pulls together research about the impacts of water stress on almond growth and yield. “Drought Management for California Almonds,” ANR Publication 8515, written by Merced County farm advisor David Doll and UC Davis plant scientist Ken Shackel, considers the impacts of stress on vegetative growth, kernel development and fruit buds, and also describes how to implement drought management irrigation strategies and other water reduction factors. This free publication is available through the University of California and the Almond Board of California.
