Senior Coordinator, Industry Relations and Communications

The Almond Board of California is looking for a Senior Coordinator, Industry Relations and Communications who will support outreach to almond growers and handlers, particularly related to Almond Board programs and goals. This includes, managing the Industry Outreach team’s website and social media presence, creating, and customizing industry outreach materials and executing communications, programs, and events to industry audience groups. What you’ll be doing:

  • Design and develop educational content and materials, invites, flyers and social media promotional ads for industry events and key campaigns
  • Help to ensure the ABC website is up to date in areas related to grower/handler events and educational materials
  • Analyze web analytics reports and make formal recommendations to Manager for areas of improvement on industry-facing pages
  • Manage the promotion for The Almond Conference
  • Oversee the industry facing social media platforms
  • Support Industry Communications staff in executing deliverables related to the editorial calendar and scheduling for industry communication vehicles
  • Interview subject matter experts, write and edit articles, newsletters, announcements, blog posts, prepare short videos, presentations, charts, and graphs for outreach efforts   
  • Assist in the planning, promotion, execution, and presenting/representing ABC at events
  • Track key collateral usage and coordinate replenishment
  • Prepare reports, slides, and presentations; present to internal and external audiences

Our ideal candidate requirements:

  • A BA/BS degree in Agriculture sciences or communications, marketing, graphic design, public relations, journalism, or a closely related field
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in design, coordinating educational outreach activities or events, marketing with an emphasis on digital, and coordinating corporate communications
  • Intermediate skills in computer applications including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Publisher; Adobe Suites including InDesign and Photoshop
  • Experience writing and editing articles, newsletters, brochures, social posts, news releases, important correspondence, and other written materials
