Conference Countdown — Van Soetaert, Chairman, Industry Services Committee

9/16/2016

With almond harvest winding down, it’s time to make your plans for The Almond Conference, Dec. 6–8, at the Sacramento Convention Center.

The Almond Conference is the largest event for almond industry professionals in the world, and it’s a one-of-a-kind opportunity to connect with the people, the science, the products and the trends at the forefront of our industry.

This year’s conference will have sessions on:

  • Biomass and coproduct research
  • Precision irrigation management and California water issues
  • Evolution of Almond Board’s marketing programs
  • State of the industry
  • Sustainability trends
  • FSMA: Produce Safety
  • And much more.

See the articles here and here for a preview of some of the presentations in store for you this year.

The Almond Conference Gala Dinner is switching gears this year. Following dinner, the traditional program of presentations and awards will be followed by a live auction supporting the California FFA Foundation. And the evening’s entertainment will feature the country-rock group, the Smith Band.

The annual Almond Conference isn’t a success by accident; the Almond Board of California Industry Services staff works all year long to ensure the value of your Conference experience. I’d like to thank the Industry Services Committee members for their commitment and service.

Sincerely,

Van Soetaert, Chairman
Industry Services Committee
