Three Ways to Support California FFA

10/27/2016

Since the inception of the silent auction four years ago at The Almond Conference, Almond Board of California has raised more than $20,000 for the California FFA Foundation to fund scholarships for high school students planning to attend college with an ag-related major. For the first time ever, and with the help of the 2016 Almond Leadership Program participants, we are offering three opportunities for you to get involved in raising scholarship funds. Please help us build upon the amount raised so far, and continue to support the future leaders of the California ag industry!

Silent Auction
Going on its fifth year, the silent auction will be held on the trade show floor Dec. 7 and 8. Be sure to stop by and place your bid on some fun and fantastic items! If you or your company cares to make a donation to the silent auction, contact Rebecca Bailey at rbailey@almondboard.com.

Live Auction
For the first time ever, a live auction will be held during the annual Gala Dinner on Thursday, Dec. 8. Attendees will have the chance to bid on items that may include anything from a vacation to tickets to a special event. Auction donations are still being accepted.

Online Donations
Another addition this year is the opportunity to donate online. All donations will be sent directly to the California FFA Foundation, and will be accepted through Dec. 8, 2016. All you have to do is visit CalAgEd.org/Foundation to take advantage of this convenient way to support FFA students.
