Throughout this year’s almond harvest, our farmers and community have been posting on social media to take you behind the scenes to see the work being done to bring your favorite nut from orchard to table!

It's mid-August, so you'll be seeing #almond shakers out in the orchards! These big machines make raw almonds fall to the ground where they dry out for 8-10 days. Then they're picked up from the orchard floor w/another machine! #California #AlmondHarvest https://t.co/EgQKUUrqVP pic.twitter.com/5PEow9wNPU

#almondharvest is in full swing. Great to see those windrows looking good, especially after all the concerns with frost during bloom. Growers who persevered thru the bad weather are reaping the rewards of patience!#Yara #KnowledgeGrows #farming pic.twitter.com/QFzfXLmKNG

#DYK each year the #almondharvest process is often repeated 2-3 times per orchard? Orchards are planted with multiple varieties for cross-pollination purposes & each is harvested separately. https://t.co/fwGjSpm9rO pic.twitter.com/JPR3FY4Ypm

It was a wonderful and successful harvest. Now it’s time for the trees to get some rest (a period technically known as “dormancy”) and get ready for next growing season!
