With growing demand for plant-based products in the sports and performance categories, manufacturers and consumers are looking for products with ingredients that are functional and leave room for innovation. According to Innova Market Insights:

  • Sports nutrition is the fastest growing almond product category with 51% growth in 2020.1
  • 16% of new almond product introductions including “high/source” of protein as an on-pack health claim.
