Recap: The Almond Board of California Attended IFT FIRST 2022 In-Person!

The Almond Board of California (ABC) was thrilled to attend the IFT First Annual Event and Expo from July 10 – 13, 2022 in Chicago after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.


When visiting the ABC booth (#S0825) on the expo floor, IFT attendees were able to view and taste innovative recipes and concepts, speak with with ABC experts and ABC's Culinary Consultant Chef Henry Hill, browse the latest almond resources including our 2021 Global New Products infographic, and discover new almond facts with daily trivia questions!

Chef Henry Hill developed three trailblazing almond formulations and showcased them at the ABC booth at noon daily at IFT:

Whipped Mocha-Almond Boba

Three almond forms – almond butter, almond milk and almond flour – are whipped together with cold brew coffee and boba in this dairy-free mocha beverage that will appeal to Millennial and Gen Z tastes.

Spicy Almond Crunch Puffs

A savory and crispy bite that brings the heat, coated with jalapeno seasonings and salt, for a modern take on the grab-and-go snack.

Chocolate Almond Butter Rocky Rope

Early 2000s nostalgia is back! Enjoy an aspirational take on a candy rope featuring almond butter, almond pieces and an almond milk glaze, lending itself to consumer preferences for chocolate products featuring almond butter.
