Taylor Hillman is a senior specialist of industry communications at the Almond Board of California. He plans and implements ABC’s communications to growers, handlers, processors and allied industry members. He also analyzes ABC’s communication strategies and tactics to better serve the almond growers of California.

Prior to joining ABC, Taylor spent nearly a decade in agriculture radio talking to growers, researchers and industry leaders, sharing information that is critical to producers. During this time, he was a proud member of the National Association of Farm Broadcasters and National Agricultural Marketing Association, serving as the Western Pacific Chapter of the latter.

After a brief stint in firefighting, Taylor began his professional communications career working for a decade at KSEE24 and CBS47 – sister stations that are the Fresno NBC and CBS television affiliates – directing live newscasts, shooting and editing video and running remote live reports.

Taylor is of Dutch and Portuguese decent, groups with long Central Valley farming histories, with parents originating from Tulare County where family members still farm row crops and almonds. He lives in Clovis with his wife, Robin – an educator and drama teacher – and daughter, Vivian. The family enjoys camping and watching baseball games, a favorite pastime of Taylor’s as he cheers on the San Francisco orange and black.
